「芽茶」飲んだことありますか？
お茶を製茶する過程で出るお茶の「芽」の部分を集めた出物（でもの）といわれるお茶です。煎茶などの葉っぱ部分のお茶よりグレードが下がるので、普段使いのお茶として飲まれていますが、煎茶とはまたちょっと違った味わいや効果が魅力的なお茶です。
①お茶の芽の部分なので、味が濃く、カフェインが多い。熱めのお湯でさっといれるとさっぱりした渋みと濃いうまみ、そしてカフェイン効果で、シャキッと仕事＆勉強モードの時にぴったりのお茶です。仕事の20分～30分前に飲むのがおすすめ。
②お値段がお手頃！ 狭山園では600円と800円（いずれも税抜）の芽茶をそろえています。
③水出しで冷茶で飲んでも、濃いうまみが楽しめる。チーズ系のお菓子が合う！
煎茶と比べると、あまみ、旨みのバランスは少し劣りますが、通常お茶屋さんで売っている芽茶は一番茶（新茶）や二番茶などの上等なお茶から出る芽なので品質が劣るということはありません！

Have you ever tasted “Mecha”?
Mecha made from part of “bud” of tea leaves which are sorted out in the process of refining tea. It has a unique green tea taste unlike Sencha. It is not as famous as Sencha outside Japan, but it is drunk as an everyday tea in Japan.
★Some Features of “Mecha” ★
・Since it is a part of the tea bud, it has a kind of strong taste and high caffeine content(but not as much as coffee’s caffeine）. It has a refreshing astringency, a strong umami taste, and a caffeine effect, so it is the perfect for when you are in work or study mode. It is recommended to drink it 20 to 30 minutes before you start work.
・The price is reasonable! We have Mecha selections of 600 yen and 800 yen (both tax not inc).
(3) You can also enjoy the strong umami flavor when prepare as Ice Mecha with water. Try Ice Mecha with Cheesy treats(Snacks, bread, whatever cheese stuff,,）goes well with that!
Compared to sencha, Mecha has a slightly lower balance of pleasant sweetness ,umami and bitterness, However usually Mecha is made from high quality teas such as first hervested Shincha so it is not inferior in quality!
